3 Months Old

Our little monster is 3 months old today!
He is 15 pounds 1 ounce, almost double his birth weight.
He is starting to giggle more and more now, it's just hard to catch on video because he always stops and gives the camera a suspicious look when it's near him. His first laugh was induced by Pop pop in California when he was 10 weeks, and we have been trying everything possible to continue hearing the sweet little sound.
He's just started to take notice of his feet and will grab them when I change his diaper and they are in his line of sight.
He is definitely a thumb sucker, well really he sucks his thumb and pointer finger at the same time.
We just found out for sure yesterday that he has a food intolerance, though we've suspected it for a while. The most common one in babies is dairy, and second most common is wheat. So momma is off the dairy for now to see if it helps him feel better. And his constant congestion is possibly because of acid reflux, so we'll be starting him on baby Prilosec. Eucalyptus oil seems to help the congestion as well, which is the worst at night and interrupts his sleep.
In spite of it all, he is a pleasant, mellow, sweet little addition to our home.
His chorus of "words" continues to expand, and tummy time is something he actually enjoys now...for a few minutes.
He can sit up with pillows propping him up, and he hangs onto things when we put them near his hands. He likes to reach for our hands if we put them up in front of him, and seems particularly interested in my painted nails.
He looooves being outside, especially when it's windy-he loves the wind on his face.
If it's possible we fall more in love with him every day, maybe even every hour. He gets cuter and cuter and is just learning so much so fast. We are so blessed.

A more enjoyable tummy time

He looks like he's balding here because of the flash. He really does have little seedling hairs coming in underneath! =)

He let me put him in the Moby for 5 minutes before freaking out. A new record since he was a few weeks old and used to love it.

He'll sleep just about anywhere once he's asleep. It's getting him asleep that proves tricky at times.

More tummy time video!

That little boy is so adorable! And growing so fast! I hope that eliminating dairy will solve his congestion problem so you can both get some sleep :)

Reflux, gas, hard to put to sleep, but completely adorable :) It sounds like we have twin babies. I'd love to talk and see what your doing to help Mason. I could use a few pointers! And he DOES NOT look like an old man, he is so handsome!

He sounds JUST like Cooper :) The elimination diet worked wonder's for us and we were able to stop giving him his reflux meds too :) He was an entirely new baby and I was able to keep nursing. :) He is so cute Shanna, congratulations!
ps. I hope its not stalker-creepy that I just posted on your blog! ;)

Is cutting out dairy working? Did he seem better when you were cutting it out for thrush? I am sorry, it sucks so bad not knowing! I still dont know 100 percent whats up with norah, i just lnow i'm done nursing! If i could do it over, id do an elimination diet right off the bat, then you can figure it out fasterr and move on! Good luck! I cant wait to meet him, hes going to be so big by the time we get to see him!
