October is....

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Here are some facts about breast cancer...

Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer.

More than 1.7 million women who have had breast cancer are still alive in the United States.

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54, and the second cause of cancer death in women 55 to 74.

It is the most common cancer in women, no matter your race or ethnicity.

About 1.3 million women will be diagnosed with breast cancer annually worldwide.

The majority of people are related to someone, or close to someone who has had breast cancer. Wear your pink ribbons, but be proactive too! Get screened, and support the cause to find a cure.
